Fodor's Review

It's hard to imagine what Italian cuisine would be like without the New World tomato. This museum, which is part of the collective known as Musei del Cibo, explains all the mysteries. There's about a hundred exhibits explaining the history of the tomato, its farming, and its processing. If you want to book a guided tour, it's necessary to call in advance. Call before making the trek, though, as opening hours are limited, and reservations are often necessary.
