Fodor's Expert Review Mon Café
Locals love this lively café because it does just about everything and does it well, beginning at 7 in the morning with tasty breakfast pastries and ending long after dark with dinner and nightcaps. Although Italian dishes are on the menu, tapas are also served (in two portion sizes); mains include dishes like spaghettini con bocconcini di coda di rospo (thin noodles with monkfish medallions). Conclude with the delicious salame di cioccolato (it looks like salami but is, in fact, made wholly of chocolate and served with a crème anglaise). The place comprises two rooms, showcasing temporary art on elephant-color walls. The wine list is winning, as is the service.
