Fodor's Expert Review Enoteca Enotria
This little two-room enoteca in the old Jewish section of town has been pouring noteworthy wines (from Italy, France, and elsewhere) since 1986. Aside from a couple of stools and a table, the first room only has a counter for wine service; the other room, lined with bottles, rounds out the space with two more tables. Locals come for the wine, yes, but also the simple but good food—plates of affettati misti and cheeses—to go with it. Enotria opens at 8:30 am, closes at 2:30 pm, and reopens in the late afternoon, making it a wonderful quick stop before lunch or dinner.
