Fodor's Expert Review O Kostas
Hollowed-out wine barrels used for decorative purposes are more kitsch than antique, but they match the lightheartedness of this country tavern. Cooks showily prepare saganaki over live flames by the table as waiters pull wine (red and retsina) from the barrels lining the walls. The menu is solid Greek fare, slightly tweaked for non-Greek palates in search of a "genuine" taverna experience, all to be enjoyed under the mulberry trees in the summer. Yes, it's touristy, but it's also fun and tasty.
