Due to the small number of taxis, prices are high—so always check the rates in advance. If you do spring for a ride, it's a good idea to ask for a card with the driver's number in case you need a lift later in your trip. On Lesvos, Michalis Parmakelis is a recommended driver who speaks fluent English.
