Air Travel

Though you can get to the hubs of Rhodes or Kos in under 10 hours nowadays on the faster ferries, if you have limited time it's best to fly to these two islands. Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air fly between Athens and Rhodes, as do a number of other carriers, and Olympic and Aegean also run several daily flights between Athens and Kos. Flying time is about 45 minutes to either island. Aegean and Olympic also connect Rhodes and Kos with several other Greek islands, as does Sky Express. Finally, it’s possible to fly directly to Rhodes and Kos from a number of European capitals on Aegean and several European carriers, especially during the summer. Neither Patmos nor Symi has an airport.
