Allee nach Sanssouci 1, Potsdam, Brandenburg, 14471, Germany See on Map

The terrace of this fine hotel overlooks the palace and park of Sanssouci. Spacious rooms have Hollywood and Babelsberg vintage photos and memorabilia and natural materials including rattan furniture. The hotel restaurant serves international dishes, including those of the Brandenburg region. There’s also a small but well-appointed spa

Your stay comes with free tickets for public transportion in Potsdam and Berlin.

Decorated in warm golds and browns, rooms feature soundproofed windows, minibars and flat-screen TVs. Deluxe rooms and studios are larger and have Nespresso coffee machines; some have balconies. Views are of the courtyard or Brandenburg Gate.

The slightly dated bathrooms feature dark wood washstands and standing showers.

The functional lobby features a welcoming, old-timey reception desk and a small seating area.

The charming bistro-style restaurant puts locally sourced products on the menu, including fresh fish from the Havel, produce from the Uckermark and meat from regional farmers. There’s also a pretty summer terrace, Kutscherhof, open seasonally.

Cocktails and snacks can be enjoyed in a vintage atmosphere, replete with red leather banquettes and historic photos, in the bistro/bar Friedrich's.

Getting Around

Set between the park Sanssouci and the city center, the hotel to the main Potsdam train station is a $15 taxi ride.

Restaurant Juliette (11-minute walk), at the edge of the historic Dutch quarter, serves classic French cuisine in a cozy 17th-century half-timbered house replete with brick walls and stone fireplaces. In Sanssouci Park, Potsdam Zur Historische Mühle (15-minute walk) is a large restaurant/event space that’s best for a casual lunch or in summer, when you can take advantage of its large terrace or the beer garden.

Once you’ve chosen from the lengthy list of well-crafted cocktails at Fritz'n Bar (9-minute walk), you can settle in and focus on this dimly-lit lounge’s fashionable crowd. Night-owls should head to Unscheinbar (15-minute walk), whose live music and DJ scene stretches into the wee hours. If you fancy a chill pint, Kneipf Hafthorn (12-minute walk) has a sprawling beer garden during warm weather and a cozy interior during colder months.

The central location makes this a great choice for exploring the UNESCO city of Potsdam by foot. The quiet rooms, charming summer terrace and solid restaurant are also plusses.
