This stylish budget hotel is in a prime location off the bustling shopping boulevard Kurfürstendamm, and features a cinema theme throughout, with photographs of famous German actors decorating the lobby, rooms and the stylish rooftop bar. The modern rooms have flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, and a rainforest shower; the upper floors offer views of Tiergarten and the Berlin Zoo.

Sample a range of trendy, affordable cuisine at the hip concept mall Bikini Berlin (6-minute walk), where you’ll find a variety of eateries and stalls serving Asian, Mediterranean and Latin American fare. For upscale dining, make a reservation at the Michelin-starred Hugo’s (15-minute walk), with four- to six-course seasonal tasting menus, along with panoramic city views from the 14th floor of the Intercontinental Berlin.
