Hotel Zoo

Kurfürstendamm 25, Berlin, Berlin, 10719, Germany

Tucked inside one of the city's oldest grand hotels, this recently remodeled hotel is an eclectic clash of New York City design meets Berlin tradition with bare redbrick walls and a cutting-edge interior design employing objets d'art and oversize mirrors and lamps. The public areas of this hidden gem are designed in subdued, violet and black colors, while the surprisingly airy and bright rooms–-some with panoramic views of the shopping boulevard–-exude a 1920s, timeless elegance. Free Wi-Fi, a small gym, and very forthcoming service are some of the highlights, but pride of place goes to the trendy Grace bar and restaurant wrapped around a tiny courtyard, offering German-Asian fusion cuisine. A rooftop lounge is in the works for 2016.
