Locals and tourists alike come here for fresh Catalan and seafood dishes, like sea bass simply prepared with lemon, sea salt, and herbes de Provence. The casual-cool beach vibe is an added draw: dining tables cover a boardwalk in front of the artful kitchen shack, and low round bar tables (usually occupied by one or two philosopher types) are perched in the sand. Au Casot’s high prices reflect its prime location beneath the picturesque Chapelle St-Vincent on the waterfront, but the food, wine, and atmosphere are all authentically pleasing.
