A pleasant mix of the antique and the modern, this attractive lodging offers all the pleasures of a four-star hotel with the modern conveniences of a high-end chain. Many of the rooms overlook the wooded 6-acre park (a former vineyard), and the larger suites in the historic section all have park-view terraces. Rooms in the modern section have slightly less character but lack nothing in the way of comfort. The restaurant provides high-quality dining and a delightful patio in warm weather; the glassed-in lounge is the perfect spot for a drink. The fully equipped spa and pool are a big plus, as are the wine tastings offered every Friday for a small additional fee.
