Fodor's Expert Review Rue Meynadier

Cannes

It's hard to imagine 16th-century horse-drawn carriages being pulled down this main street of Cannes that's now home to inexpensive and trendy clothes boutiques, rare food stores, cheese and wine shops, and some of the best butchers in town. Don't miss the chic patisserie, L'Atelier Jean-Luc Pelé, at No. 36, whose delicate macaroons come in flavors such as lime-chocolate, Menton lemon, and foie gras–onion confit, and whose ganache-filled chocolates are sublime. At one end of Rue Meynadier is Rue d'Antibes, Cannes's main high-end shopping street.
