Fodor's Expert Review Le Temps des Cerises
You'll find your bonheur (happiness) in this popular and centrally located gem where Dutch owner-chef Louis Schröder has simplified his dinner menu: there’s one price for entrées (€15.50), one for mains (€25.50), and one for desserts (€9.50)—or order one of each for €44.50. From shellfish and sea bass to beef tenderloin and veal kidney, the selection is classic French gastronomy (so definitely not vegan or vegetarian friendly). Tarte tatin of duck liver with cognac, John Dory with crushed hazelnuts in butter, and slow-cooked Iberian pork with fennel and curry fondue are all served with surprising chic for the middle of a tourist town. Too bad about the trucks and motorcycles roaring past.
