Fodor's Expert Review Cave de l'Origine

Once an industrial space where arms were produced, the Cave de l'Origine now has a more peaceful mission: to spread joy through good food and wine. At the front is an épicerie displaying carefully selected products from all over France, while lining the walls are bottles of wine from small producers, many of them organic. In two spacious rooms with red and gray walls, you can sip a glass of wine and perhaps nibble a plate of thinly sliced saucisson or smoked tuna, or come for a meal highlighting produce hand-selected from small farmers at the Cours Saleya market. Carlo and Isabelle are enthusiastic hosts and English speakers get a warm welcome.
