Fodor's Expert Review Hotel du Poete

"A river runs through it" is no exaggeration at this amiable hotel with breakfast room, pool, terrace, gardens, Jacuzzi, terrace bar, and several guest rooms overlooking (and in some cases atop) the melodious streams that meander from the famous Sorgue source, a kilometer away. For some this could be a detriment, but the Hotel du Poete's pleasing, light-drenched rooms and romantic garden terraces make utmost use of the river's scenic possibilities. Although the hotel only serves breakfast, the bar is open all day, and refreshing drinks can be had in the garden or by the pool.
