This dreamy restaurant sits in delightful parkland off the D751, 8 km (5 miles) east of Nantes. Longtime-chef Gérard Ryngel has retired, but the emphasis on elegant, innovative regional cuisine continues under the stewardship of Jérôme and Magalie Ponchelle, who bought the spot in 2013. Try steamed pike perch in beurre blanc, or frogs' legs in Gros Plant white-wine sauce. Lunchtime prix-fixe menus are €25, and there are more than 50 varieties of Muscadet, the local white wine, for you to choose from. Request a table on the terrace when you reserve.
