Fodor's Expert Review Sokos Hotel Aleksanteri
Albertink. 34, Helsinki, Uusimaa, 00180, Finland
Opened in April 2008, this hotel fuses a neo-Renaissance building built in the 1880s and a neoclassical one from the 1920s with the clean-lined design and comfort of the reputable Finnish chain. Neo-Renaissance rooms have hardwood floors and warm earth tones; neoclassical rooms have red-and-navy carpeting and forest-green walls. Two of the four suites feature Danish design, one Finnish and one Swedish.
