Brighton Transportation Site (Airport, Bus, Ferry, Train)

Built by Brighton inventor Magnus Volk in 1883, this was the first electric railway anywhere in the world—and it's recently been spruced-up in an extensive, £2 million restoration project. Between April and October, you can take the 1¼-mile, three-station trip along the beachfront Marine Parade.
