On a working farm about 2 miles outside Battle, this pretty wood-and-brick bed-and-breakfast is known for its soothing country views. The owners are a friendly couple, and the house is spacious with sturdy beamed ceilings, colorful bedspreads, a handful of antiques, and lots of homey touches. It's a farm, so things can be a bit rough around the edges. Still, there's a wood-burning stove for chilly nights, and on sunny days you can sit in the garden and look out over the hills as sheep nibble the grass nearby.
