The Pig In The Wall

8 Western Esplanade, , SO14 2AZ, England

Fodor’s Expert Review

On a quiet street across from Mayflower Park, this snug hotel set in the city's medieval walls in two converted town houses has guest rooms with a funky but chic aesthetic. Downstairs is an Edwardian parlor with an open fire, comfortable leather armchairs, and wood tables topped with live herbs in pots. This place is an offshoot of the Pig, the nearby "restaurant with rooms" in the New Forest—a shuttle can take you there for dinner. There's no restaurant here, but the on-site deli serves breakfast, charcuterie, and simple dishes from the mothership's starter menu.
