Fodor's Expert Review La Bécasse
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Dip into the past—the intimate building dates to 1349, the warm oak paneling merely to the 17th century—as you savor a fixed-price menu (£54–£65) of French food with hints of the English heartland. Rose-color glass chargers on crisp white table linens set the tone for such dishes as wild boar bourguignon, and bream with an orange-soy glaze. Vegetarians are well served with a separate menu. The three course lunch menu is a great value at £30. Reservations are essential on weekends.
