Fodor's Expert Review Wentworth Hotel
Wentworth Rd., Aldeburgh, Suffolk, IP15 5BD, England
The Pritt family has owned and managed the Wentworth since 1920 and the attention shows. Huge chairs fill the public rooms on the ground floor and are a great place to sip coffee and watch people stroll by. The bedrooms are done in pastel fabrics; sea-view rooms, worth the extra cost, come equipped with binoculars All rooms have a copy of the whimsical children's favorite Orlando the Marmalade Cat, by Kathleen Hale, set in a fictional town based on Aldeburgh. The hotel will also lend a set of bocce balls for playing on the beach.
