Oyggjarvegur 45, Tórshavn, Streymoy, 100, Faroe Islands
Fodor’s Expert Review
High in the hills above Torshavn, and high in guests' estimation, this is considered to be one of the best accommodations in town, combining boutique design sensibilities with the natural life of the island. From the outside, the sloping grass roofs of the long, slender hotel disappear, hobbit-style, into the landscape. Inside, the rooms remain relatively simple, with bare white walls and chocolate brown bedding, but feature panoramic windows with views down to Torshavn and the sea. The hotel restaurant, Koks, remains a culinary destination for locals and tourists seeking the cutting edge of new Nordic cuisine.
