The fact that this cozy hotel, housed in an 1872 Danish villa, is a mile outside the city center works to its advantage. Set in a sprawling yard in a quiet, leafy neighborhood, the elegant house's 12 ample guestrooms—some recently renovated—are all about gracious living, with tons of light, spacious bathrooms, comfortable furnishings, and all the modern amenities of a much larger hotel. Two of the suites have balconies overlooking the garden, which, interestingly, is also known for its model railway, one of the largest in northern Europe.
