Fodor's Expert Review Informační středisko
This is the place to come for entrance tickets, guided tours, audio guides with headphones, and tickets to cultural events held at the castle. You can wander around the castle grounds, including many of the gardens, for free, but to enter any of the historic buildings, including St. Vitus's Cathedral, requires a combined-entry ticket (valid for two days). There are two ticket options. The "Short Visit" (cheaper option) allows entry to St. Vitus's Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, Golden Lane, St. George's Basilica, and Daliborka Tower. This will provide more than enough quality time in the castle. The more expensive "Long Visit" also includes entry to a permanent exhibition on the history of the castle called The Story of Prague Castle and to the Powder Tower. If you just want to walk through the castle grounds, note that the gates close at midnight from April through October and at 11 pm the rest of the year, and the gardens are open from April through October only.
