1. The Courtyards
Gornji GradAt this annual summer event, some of Zagreb's most beautiful—and most secret—courtyards open their doors for guests. They include private historic villas, educational institutions such as the Institute of History, and government buildings. Each courtyard features live music (usually acoustic, jazz, or soft rock), finger food, and fun drinks.

2. Tuškanac
Gornji GradLocated in a forested, hilly area, you would never think Tuškanac is part of Zagreb if you didn't know it. Over the summer, the 20th-century outdoor stage transforms into an open-air movie theater, airing a variety of flicks. The park is also home to a number of festivals, including the fun Pop-Up Summer Garden, which is centered around cool seating, food, and drink stands. The park also features a number of historic vacation villas once used by the city's artistocracy.
