This colossal 17-story modern structure between the Mimara Museum and the Botanical Garden—previously the Opera Zagreb—still looks homely on the outside, but on the inside it's a sparkling affair. Rooms are bright, spacious, and clean, if a bit uninspiring; the signature "Heavenly Beds" are exceptionally comfy. Note that in addition to its 44 suites, the Westin also offers 13 meeting rooms. Sports and business facilities are first-rate, and a hotel limousine is available for transfers to and from the airport.
