Korčula Religious Building/Site/Shrine

On the main square, the splendid Gothic-Renaissance cathedral is built from a wheat-colored stone that turns pale gold in sunlight, amber at sunset. Enter through the beautifully carved Romanesque main portal, which is guarded by Adam and Eve standing underneath twin lions. Make sure to climb the bell tower for the best view in town—it's steep and a bit awkward, but worth it.
