Fodor's Expert Review Ivica i Marica

Ive Lole Ribara 8A, Karanac, Osjecko-Baranjska, Croatia Fodor's Choice

The most welcoming and unique place to stay in Baranja is this beautifully restored, working farmhouse in the tiny village of Karanac. Go horseback riding, bike riding, or just hang out in the big backyard with the friendly owners and their animals. Ivica i Marica ("Hansel and Gretel") has 25 rustically designed, spacious rooms, an on-site restaurant, and bicycles to rent for exploring the area.

Check out the great little art workshop-cum-gift shop down the road called Farma Etno, where you can buy handmade souvenirs that sell for twice the price in national parks across the country.
