Train

There are three trains daily from Rijeka to Zagreb (journey time is approximately 4 hours) and two trains daily to Ljubljana (2½ hours).

Hrvatske Željeznice (Croatian Railways). The Croatian railway system offers travelers a slower more relaxed way to move around the Croatian countryside and view magnificent vistas less frequented by car and bus travel. The connections are not always convenient and the price is not always less than a bus ticket, but there are lounge and sleeper cars available on many routes. If you are not in a hurry or you have a bike or a pet, traveling by train can be a good alternative.
