A barbecue-centered restaurant during the day, Tortuga turns into one of Split's hottest bars come midnight, when the kitchen closes. Expect themed live DJ parties on the weekends. Tortuga is one of the spots dotting Split's biggest nightlife hub, the beach stretch of Bačvice Bay.

At the center of Split's mini-Ibiza-like stretch of beach, you'll find Club Bačvice, but there is a whole slew of venues along the way with pulsating music until the wee hours of the night. By day, you can sip coffee at this café.
Run by a coalition of local youth organizations, Kocka is the primary underground alternative club in Split. Over the past 20 years, they have hosted thousands of bands and artists from the region and from around the world with shows, exhibits, and other events. The club is located within a complex hosting its own independent library, studio, gallery, two stages, bar, and offices. It attracts hordes of young people year-round seeking to listen to everything from dub and trip-hop to ska and metal.

Close to Zlatna Vrata, Teak is a small café with an exposed-stonework-and-wood interior plus tables outside throughout summer. It's popular with highbrow locals who come here to leaf through the piles of international newspapers and magazines.
In summer Vanilla hosts pool parties for "Yacht Week" partygoers with international DJs every Friday night. Located about a 20-minute walk from the center of town near the public pools, there's a great terrace and a rotating bar. During the year, it is a trendy place for fans of all sorts of music from international hip-hop and rock to turbofolk and Croatian pop.
