Fodor's Expert Review Kaštil Gospodnetic/Konoba Margera
This 16th-century konoba tucked high up in the village of Dol (which means valley) not only offers an amazing view of the valley all the way to the sea, but also offers guests a chance to step back in time with a tour though the historic building before sitting down to a home-cooked meal. The meal price includes an appetizer, main dish, and dessert, and is recommended to be ordered in advance. The restaurant is run by young family members who are warm and inviting and eager to share their heritage with guests. Order the grilled fish if you pop in unannounced and do not have the inclination to wait for the peka-cooked meals, or just take in the view over the local sweet cake hrapacusa.
