A small, low-key restaurant, tucked away on the second floor of a 15th-century palazzo just off the main square, Apetit serves traditional dishes that are made with fresh, locally sourced, high-quality ingredients. Some favorites to look out for are tuna ala pašticada (fresh tuna cooked in wine and served with gnocchi) or the house specialty, rezanci Apetit (homemade tagliatelle with shrimp, salmon, and zucchini). The restaurant recently added several dishes to its menu that offer Istrian Boksarin cattle. The Boksarin cattle are an indigenous ancient cattle that have recently been brought back into production in a sustainable way and are offered in select gourmet restaurants.
