Once a military swimming school designed to harden soldiers, this 100-year-old public outdoor bath, situated on the Old Danube is today a local hotspot in summer for soft exercise and relaxation. Facilities include changing rooms, bathrooms, showers, and lockers, and there are lots of shady areas for picnics and lounging. Bundesbad is especially popular with families with its expansive play area, small in-water slides, and kids programs in summer, but the rafts, table tennis, on-site cafe-restaurant, and boules mean you'll find students and elderly locals, too. You can't rent towels here so bring your own.
