Getting Around

The Schwedenplatz Ubahn is a five-minute walk. There are also yellow city bikes you can rent by the hour, with several drop-off zones throughout the city.

Klyo (1-minute walk), inside the Urania, is a warm and inviting space with good food and a fantastic view of the Canal. Cafe Pruckerl (7-minute walk) is where many Viennese writers and actors come, though you wouldn’t know it to be there. It is a lively atmosphere, with delicious “Mohr am Hemd,” a type of chocolate cake. Ristorante Noli (7-minute walk) is a popular Italian eatery a nice selection of vegetarian options.

If you need some sand between your toes — no kidding — head toStrandbar Herrmann (3-minute walk). It’s an open-air bar along the Danube Canal, with sand and beach chairs; there's a Happy Hour and DJ most nights. Hookah bar Blended (2-minute walk) is open late, with good sisha and good drinks. Drinks are pricey at Das Loft (6-minute walk), but worth it for the unparalleled view of the city as the sun sets. It’s an experience you will not forget.

For the budget-minded, this is an appealing option. The rooms are tidy and bright, and the hotel is fairly centrally-located, in an area that boasts a vibrant nightlife.
