Fodor's Expert Review Gasthof Zimmerbräu

This pleasant, rustic, and central Gasthof began four centuries ago as a brewery and opened its doors to guests in 1895, and though it's not directly on the lake, it does maintain its own bathing cabana on the shore. Wood panels and accents are more contemporary in some rooms than others, but all rooms have balconies, and there is a lovely sitting room with Biedermeier furnishings on the first floor. Half-pension is offered in the summer season only.
