The Turks and Caicos Islands are on Eastern Standard Time, the same as New York City and Atlanta. Unlike most Caribbean destinations, the Turks and Caicos have followed daylight saving time as the United States does. However, there is the possibility that this will change in 2016; it is currently tabled for government acceptance. Club Med has paved the way, as they do not change their clocks, making them an hour earlier than those on the rest of the island during months when daylight saving time is in effect.
