Fodor's Expert Review The Palms
Princess Dr., Grace Bay, Providenciales, TKCA 1ZZ, Turks and Caicos Islands
High on luxury, The Palms has consistently scored in the top 100 hotels in the world. This 72-suite luxury condo hotel is directly in the heart of Grace Bay, right on the waterfront. The stylishly appointed rooms range from the 640-square-foot junior suite, complete with its own private balcony, king bed, kitchenette, and sleeper sofa, to the resort’s magnificent 3,800-square-foot extravagant penthouse, with several private balconies, full kitchen, and even an outdoor shower to pamper one’s self. Colonial-style furnishings mix wood and white with splashes of periwinkle blues and mint green, creating the perfect old-world-meets-modern-Caribbean feel. One big plus for families is a washer and dryer in all suites. Accommodations are set along three sides of the central pool—one of the chicest in the Caribbean, with sun pods, a restaurant, and a swim-up bar. The resort also boasts a 25,000-square-foot spa, one of the top in the Caribbean; you must go early to enjoy a steam or sauna, as well as a relaxing moment sipping lemon water or herbal tea while overlooking the spa’s central reflection pool, before treatment. A full gym, several shops, two restaurants, endless water sports, and a dedicated kids' club are all part of the package. When staying at The Palms, there won’t be any need to leave the property.
