This beautiful, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom British colonial villa sits directly on the water's edge. Although it dates back to the 1830s, it was lovingly restored in 2014. Although furnished with antiques that reflect the time and place, comfortable sofas and seats are blended in to create a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen comes with all modern appliances, set next to the large outdoor terrace with grill. All bedrooms reside on the second floor; their airy 10-foot ceilings are designed to welcome the ocean breezes. Two bicycles are included in the rental, and groceries can be stocked at no extra charge.

WHY WE LIKE IT
Salt Cay is truly a land that time forgot, boasting the smallest resident population of all the islands within the archipelago. Donkeys and cows amble about, locals feel like long time friends, and remnants of an era long past fills the soul. While visiting the island of Salt Cay with its rugged beauty, beach combing, diving, snorkeling, biking, and touring, are all possible - or one may meld quietly into the rhythm of this little community and wile away one's days in total peace.
