Fodor's Expert Review Orlando's
British-born of Jamaican/Barbadian heritage, chef Orlando Sachell is a man on a mission. He opened his restaurant in downtown Soufrière to present his "Share the Love" (or STL) style of cooking, which focuses on Caribbean cuisine. Orlando supports local farmers and fishers by using only locally grown organic produce, local meats, and freshly caught fish in his delicious—and world-class—dishes. Dinner offers a choice of two varying five-course menus—starting with soup (pumpkin is the best!) and salad, then a fish dish followed by beef or chicken, and ultimately dessert. Portions are small, but the flavors and richness of the food make it perfectly filling. And if there's something on the menu that doesn't appeal to you or can't eat, Chef Orlando is very accommodating.
