Room

Rooms were recently updated with new furnishings and amenities and now boast iPads, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Bose speakers—but, by design, there are no room TVs. Most rooms have a full or partial view of the sea; others overlook the gardens. The suites in Villa Firefly present the resort’s ultra-luxurious option.

Bathroom

The bathrooms in garden-view, ocean-view, and some oceanfront rooms are small but are fitted with granite vanities and all-over jet showers. Other oceanfront rooms and suites are open-concept, with the bathrooms partially open to the bedroom, and feature a large stand-alone soaking tub, marble vanities with double sinks, and shower. All bathrooms are supplied with plenty of fluffy towels and REN toiletries.

Lobby

The lobby is a very bright, airy, genteel space, with reception at one side of the room and comfortable seating on the other. A staircase leads down to Cariblue Restaurant and the pool and beach beyond.

You Should Know Wi-Fi is available only in the lobby, library, and guestrooms.

Pool

The resort has two pools. The large, kidney-shaped Cariblue pool is steps away from the restaurant of the same name. On the other side of the resort, an infinity pool is adjacent to the Clubhouse and Pavilion.

Spa

At the Alhambra-style Wellness Centre, complete with a dazzling reflecting pool in the center courtyard, you’re treated to your choice of aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, a dozen different kinds of massage, Ayurvedic treatments, body wraps and scrubs, facials, and more—a different indulgence every day.

Gym

This is a body holiday, after all, so fitness is a focus. Group exercise classes cover cardio, conditioning, dance, yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, and Pilates. Walk or hike along the mile-long Wellfit Trail, which meanders across the beach and up into the surrounding hills and has several exercise stations along the way. Join the Quadrathlon, a weekly event that incorporates mountain biking, running, rapelling, and kayaking. And take advantage of a 30-minute personal training sessions; you can add additional training sessions for a fee.

Dining

The resort has five restaurants. Cariblue is the main dining room; breakfast and lunch are buffet-style, and dinner is à la carte except for the Wednesday-night Caribbean buffet. The Pavilion Grill at the Clubhouse is a casual buffet restaurant. Windows offers a tasting menu each evening. The Deli serves salads, wraps, and smoothies, along with organic fruits and veggies. And Tao is the top of the line—the resort’s fine-dining restaurant, serving Asian-Caribbean Fusion cuisine (reservations required).

Drinking

The resort has two bars. The Clubhouse Bar, near the beach, serves drinks all day—bar service and beach service—and all evening (until midnight). The Piano Bar—a cozy, air-conditioned lounge with comfortable chairs and sofas—is open each evening from 7 p.m. until the last guest leaves.

Beach

Cariblue Beach is a delightful crescent of white sand, anchored by two protective points of land that jut into the sea. As a result, the sea is calm for swimming and the rocky cliffs on either side of the beach are great for snorkeling. The beach has plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas—and waiters are happy to deliver cool drinks to the beach.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

Since your days will be filled with all the included spa treatments and sports activities—and general R&R—a rental car would be superfluous. If you do want to get out for a day or part of a day, take a taxi or join a tour.

Restaurants

It’s all-inclusive, you’ve paid a bundle to stay here, and you have several dining choices. If you still want to have a meal elsewhere, definitely go to The Cliff at Cap (5-minute drive) at nearby Cap Maison, where the food is fabulous, the wine matches perfectly, and the atmosphere is romantic. If you play a round of golf at St. Lucia Golf & Country Club (greens fees included), plan to have lunch at Cap Grill (5-minute drive).

Bars

It’s unlikely that you’ll take your “body” elsewhere for a drink. There are on-site opportunities for unlimited beverages…and you’ll likely be exhausted after a day full of spa and sports activities.
