Fodor's Expert Review Lindbergh Landing
Dr. Penn Heights, Church Ground, Nevis, St. Kitts and Nevis
Spencer and Jacqueline "Jackie" Harvey's charming and chill hillside inn abounds in color and personality. The unusual name honors Spencer's father Ernest, the first Nevisian-born laborer to earn title certificates to lands at Hamilton Estate; his pioneering spirit earned him the admiring moniker “Lucky Lindbergh.” The snug cabins and public buildings are daubed in luscious lime and lemon hues. The rooms are tiny but offer many conveniences: free Wi-Fi, safe, flat-screen TV, and kitchenette. Jackie and Spence can arrange various Nevisian outings, including terrific nature walks. The delightful bar is a local liming hangout, with scrumptious local fare (including jerk pork from pigs they raised themselves) and arguably the island's tastiest knockout rum punch (dubbed "The Spirit of St. Louis").
