Fodor's Review

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

When it comes to the island's coffee and chocolate experiences, this place takes the cake. Within the attractive complex comprised of fieldstone and wooden colonial houses (circa 1760), there's a display case for the truffles, chocolate candies, and confections. They are created from 100% local products, including cacao and tropical fruits. The French chocolatier produces excellent chocolate. The sophisticated courtyard café has a contemporary menu. The beef, like the coffee, is grown on the plantation. If you can get a group together, call and they will give you a price for a participatory demonstration as to how to make candy bars followed by a Franco-Caribbean buffet with tastings of island rum. There are no more guided tours, so visitors can just tour on their own. Again, if a group of 10 or more, they they can reserve a guided tour. The café does not serve dinner, however if there is a group reservation they will open for it. What anyone fit can do is the zip-line in the new adventure park.
