Hidden along the coast in St. David, about a half-hour drive east of Grand Anse and the hustle and bustle of St. George's, Petit Bacaye is a tiny oasis of serenity. Just a stone's throw from the palm-fringed beach are four thatched-roof cottages, each suitable for two guests. Each cottage has a veranda or sundeck with a view, a kitchen, and large sitting and dining areas—although guests often prefer to take their meals in the restaurant or at a beach barbecue. Each day on the beachfront, fishermen deliver fresh fish that the chef prepares to order. There's nothing to do here at night, so bring a book or two. Rates are by the week only.
