Set upon its own private beach with a massive infinity pool overlooking the sea, the sleek white and steel structure is no-nonsense modern with a South Beach feel and popular with European visitors seeking a classy escape in an upscale neighborhood. The hotel is adults-only with 155 rooms and attached to a complex of fine dining emporiums (one is their own). Their sister resort Papagayo Beach Resort is located across the street behind the complex on a hill. It is a collection of luxury villas designed by Dutch designer Jan des Bouvrie with its own pool and lush tropical gardens. They both benefit from an on-site plaza, with boutiques, a small supermarket, a fitness center, and casino.
