The long name is Lloyd’s Sporting Lounge & Entertainment Center and, for Long Island, it has quite a bit. This comfortable and smartly designed sports bar and lounge has big-screen TVs for sports, and five pool tables. In a separate room they also have a disco where you can dance to the live tunes of the D Changes Band and DJs every Friday and Saturday night. Lloyd’s hosts frequent pool tournaments and people flock to enjoy happy hour from 5 to 7 pm weekdays when beer buckets are four for $12. Their food is also good and affordable: Long Island mutton, chicken, steaks, seafood, and various fettuccine main courses are available. Lloyd’s is well-thought-out and rather luxurious for the Family Islands—very enjoyable especially for big-group entertainment and dining, to catch sports on TV, or to dance to some live music.
