Opened in January 2012, this family-run resort has a warm and friendly B&B feel, with four chic yet eco-friendly beach cottages, a second-level clubhouse with a spacious dining room and wraparound balcony, and a lower-level recreation room called the "kids club," full of arts and crafts, books, and movies to keep young ones occupied while parents relax and unwind. For added fun, ask them to bust out their karaoke machine. Kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling gear, and a water trampoline are all available for use. The owners, Colorado couple Matt and Sooner Halvorson and their two young daughters, have invested heart and soul into the island, starting recycling programs, organizing Earth Day festivals, and hosting visiting conservationists.
