Fodor's Expert Review Sandals Emerald Bay
Queen's Hwy. Fodor's Choice
The former luxurious Four Seasons is now the even more luxurious Sandals Emerald Bay, an all-inclusive resort of pink and aqua buildings facing a one-mile-long stretch of powdery white sand. The resort has the option of "butler" suites, which means guests have their own butler to tend to their vacation needs. The room rate includes all food at the resort's eleven restaurants and all nonmotorized water sports. The 7,000-yard, par-72 Greg Norman–designed championship Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Course is the only one on the island. A deep water marina with 150 slips, three pools including the largest pool—at over half an acre—in The Bahamas and Caribbean, the largest Jacuzzi in the region, and a huge spa with 16 treatment rooms round out the amenities. The resort complex includes the three-bedroom, two-story house with private pool that Celine Dion rented when she was on the island.
