Fodor's Expert Review Spanish Cay Resort and Marina
Take your pick here—either a beachfront room or a one- or two-room hotel suite tucked away on a hill overlooking the marina and the Sea of Abaco. Decisions, decisions. Regardless of location, all rooms have tile floors, pastel draperies and bedspreads, private porches, king or double beds, and desks. Two- to four-bedroom condos and luxury villas are also available. The Point House restaurant serves three meals daily; locally caught fish is your best bet for dinner. The 81-slip marina can handle yachts up to 250 feet.
PROS
- totally off-the-beaten path location
- lots of privacy on remote beaches
- full-service marina
CONS
- for entertainment you need to rely on yourself
- accommodations are dated
- you'll need a boat to really explore the islands
