Fodor's Expert Review Biggity

$ New Providence and Paradise Islands Breakfast

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

The Bahamian term "biggity" means bold or brash. The food served up at this small upstairs Bay Street café certainly lives up to the name, but the atmosphere is anything but—it's a welcome reprieve from the constant traffic and pedestrian noise of downtown's main drag. Enjoy a chunk of Johnny Cake topped with Gubment Cheese for breakfast and a bowl of Peas Soup 'n Dumpling for lunch. They have lighter bites like dips and salads, and feel free to pop in for a spot of native bush tea.
